Xolani’s (Colonny’s) Story
God changed this impoverished rebel to a servant-hearted Christ-follower

Xolani was an intern at Global Leadership Academy last year. He comes from a very impoverished family.

One time at GLA, Xolani was feeling very down. After prying a bit, he started to cry, sharing that he feels so bad eating the food he was eating and sleeping in such a nice place like GLA while his mom and siblings are struggling at home with no food and a collapsing stick and mud house.

“My life was a mess before I came to GLA,” Xolani recalls. Anger, hatred, lust, and everything that is evil was my habit. I was living the way I wanted and no one was there to correct me.

I started loving my sisters and brothers, forgiving them if I was hurt, listening to my leaders even if I didn’t like what I heard, living a life of peace and joy, and dealing with anger.

My life has really changed. I am now serving God like never before without any worry about food, clothes, or a place to sleep, because everything is provided to me and it is more than I was expecting.

GLA has taught me that life is not just about me but it is about God and the people He places around me.”

Presently Serving
Since January, Xolani has been volunteering at church and at Children’s Cup, all while struggling financially at home with his mom and siblings. People have been able to help him here and there financially, especially with helping re-build his collapsed stick and mud home and help start up a small business.

This month, the Lord blessed Xolani with a job in the youth department of Children’s Cup. After asking him how he got the job, his response was: “I served, and then they hired me.” What a servant’s heart! What a testimony of a transformed life. Praise God!

Thank You!
Thank you so much for your continued love, prayers, and support. We are so blessed to be serving the Lord here in Africa. Thank you for helping make a difference.

With Much Love,
Mark, Kay, and Jadon
