Our vision is to fulfill the great commission, to go into all the world and make disciples. Making a decision for Jesus can happen anywhere, but discipleship happens best within the local church. Since Children’s Cup is reaching thousands of children and their families for the Gospel, we need to make sure we’re doing our part in providing a life-giving local church. God’s primary method to reach an area with the Gospel is to plant a church in that area.
The most effective church planting model we’ve experienced in Africa is sending a church planting team into a community.
We are passionate about the apostolic ministry of raising up leaders for Christ, training and equipping them for ministry, and sending them out as teams to reach out to an unreached area. With much prayer and wisdom, members of the church planting team will eventually transition to be full time ministers at the new church plant, helping with the CarePoint children’s ministry as well as the outreach and discipleship of their families.
By modelling after the 2 Timothy 2:2 principle of discipling, training, and equipping local believers to reproduce Jesus through others, we are able to see the Lord grow His church through multiplication; this assures longevity and ongoing eternal fruit. By planting a churches in Africa, we are engaging in long-term overseas missions, maximizing the potential impact for the Kingdom.
